Larry Oberly has over 31 years of international franchise experience in real estate, printing services, and quick service restaurants. 

During Mr. Oberly’s 19 years of experience with RE/MAX, he led U.S. and global operations. During his first eight years he was responsible for 1,100 offices in 24 states.  Mr. Oberly’s last ten years with RE/MAX included operations in over 100 countries and nearly 4,000 offices. Mr. Oberly played a key role in the development and implementation in both the U.S. and international markets.

Over a five-year period, Mr. Oberly held the position of President and CEO with SpeedPro where he managed more than 120 franchises in the U.S. and over 40 franchises in Canada.  Mr. Oberly’s experience in managing over 160 franchises provides a wealth of knowledge for clients seeking advice in areas of franchise development and implementation, and strategic planning. He was promoted to CEO and Chairman of SpeedPro in January 2022.

Mr. Oberly was a multi-unit franchisee for six years with Baskin-Robbins, during which time he bought, built, and then sold his two stores. 

Mr. Oberly served two terms on the Baskin-RobbinsNational Marketing Committee, and on the inaugural national AAFD Fair Franchising Standards Committee. He currently serves on the Entrepreneurship Advisor Board at the University of Colorado-Denver. He is a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA) International Committee, was a past participant of the IFA Convention Committee, and he received Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation from the IFA.  He also has been a frequent panelist and moderator at IFA conventions and events including two speaking engagements in 2022.

Mr. Oberly received his BBA from Kent State University, and his MBA from California State University.  He has also earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate. He is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Colorado on Global Entrepreneurship through franchising, and a former guest lecturer at Georgetown University on International Franchise Management.
