Three Key Ways to Train Franchisees

In an excerpt from his book, Franchise Your Business: The Guide to Employing the Greatest Growth Strategy Ever, published on Entrepreneur.com, iFranchise Group CEO Mark Siebert outlines three kinds of franchisee training that will help franchisors make sure that franchisees and their employees follow their business procedures, methods and rules.

Siebert notes that a well-designed, multi-stage franchisee training program should ensure that franchisees, regardless of skill level, can maintain the brand’s quality standards. And, he stresses the importance of continuous education of all franchisees.

While training can be adapted according to the varying skill levels of different franchisees, ultimately, a training program must be good enough to ensure that the least-skilled will be able to represent the franchise brand with the appropriate quality standards.

The three key types of training that franchisors should offer include:

  • Training at Franchisor Headquarters
  • On-Site Training at Franchisee Locations
  • Ongoing and Refresher Training (Both Live and Remote)

For additional details and recommendations, the full version of Siebert’s book can be purchased at the following sites: Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
