Cynthia Clarkin has over 17 years of experience as a franchisor. During this time, she also worked closely with large dealer and distributor networks. In addition to her corporate experience on the franchisor side, Ms. Clarkin spent six years as a franchisee within the home furnishings industry. Her experience as a franchisee allows her to advise iFranchise Group clients on managing franchisee expectations and providing effective support programs.

As a franchise business consultant, Ms. Clarkin has a solid understanding of retailer networks, distribution systems, and channels of trade for both consumer and institutional industries, as well as various small business formats. She has the skills to analyze and develop solid viable franchise and retail business models, as well as the experience to create achievable implementation plans for growth.

Her extensive experience developing effective local and national marketing programs, both as a franchisor and a franchisee, allows her to assist clients with consumer and business-to-business marketing insight.

With over 17 years at Armstrong World Industries as Manager of Marketing Services, Ms. Clarkin orchestrated the marketing and communications for both Armstrong’s retail franchise program and flooring dealer network. She was involved in marketing the Armstrong franchise program to approximately 700 retail locations in the U.S. and about 200 in Canada.

Ms. Clarkin’s experience in managing multiple distribution channels for a major manufacturer provides a wealth of knowledge for clients seeking to enhance the performance of their dealer network. She also has firsthand experience in the franchise conversion process from her experience with Armstrong dealers and franchisees in the early 1990’s.

She and her husband have also been franchisees, developing and running their own franchise for several years.

During her tenure with iFranchise Group, Ms. Clarkin consulted with a variety of dealer networks including the solar manufacturer, SunPower, franchisors such as Rich Dad, Comfort Keepers and Weed Man, and projects for other clients including 20th Century Fox.

Ms. Clarkin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Albany State University in New York and has a strong working knowledge of Spanish.
